2022 Canadian Karting Regulations Now Available

Sport Development Group (GDS) have published the 2022 Canadian Karting Regulations, which are now available for all karting series, regions, clubs, and others to access on the website’s karting page.

These regulations were updated with input from a karting task force assembled by the GDS karting team and led by Norman Jennings, GDS ASN Canada National Karting Steward. Over twenty stakeholders in the karting community from across Canada provided comments and feedback that has been incorporated into this year’s regulations.

A summary of changes from the previous karting regulation books has been published so that exact amendments and changes to the rules can be easily understood.

Please keep up to date with the “Affiliations” tab on the GDS website. A full list of nationally sanctioned events and members are available on the “Affiliated List” page found there. As well, any series or event across Canada has the ability to apply for national status. Nationally sanctioned events are necessary in order to satisfy the FIA mandate for drivers, who must compete at national-level events before receiving an international karting licence to compete outside of Canada.
