Women in Motorsport Canada to receive WISE fund grant from Canadian Women & Sport

Montréal, Tuesday, March 16, 2021 – Sports Development Group (ASN Canada) would like to congratulate Women in Motorsport (WIM) Canada on being granted $2 500 CAN to advance gender equity in Canadian Motorsport. 

‘’We are proud to be one of the recipients of the WISE grant. As the new ASN structure in Canada takes shape, it is imperative that gender equity continues to be part of our national structure. ‘’ – Francois Dumontier, President of Sports Development Group (ASN Canada)

About WIM - Canada joined the FIA Women in Motorsport Commission in 2019 and is one of the 70 countries represented. Created in 2009, their mission is to help implementing the WIMC initiatives in their respective countries in order to create a motorsport culture that facilitates and values the full participation of women in all aspects of motorsport. 

About SDG (ASN Canada) - Sports Development Group (GDS) is the National Sporting Authority (ASN) for auto-sports in Canada, as designated by the International Automobile Federation (FIA). Responsibilities include FIA regulatory initiatives along with national and international race licensing.
