Women in Motorsport - New Internship Program

Toronto, September 21, 2022

Women In Motorsport Canada (WIMCanada), for the first time ever, have accepted an intern! With this inaugural internship placement, WIMCanada is offering practical experience in motorsport management and hoping to inspire girls and women to see that there are opportunities and possibilities for them in this industry.

Charlotte Mulholland is a student in her third year of the Sport Management program at Humber College. Charlotte reached out to WIMCanada Director Leanne Junnila to see if there was a spot for her to be able to work with and learn from WIMCanada.

Charlotte will be assisting with writing press releases, web design, content creation, business development, and event planning.

“I’m really excited and honestly this is my dream internship. I love that I’ll be able to help in a bit of everything and that I’m going to be able to learn so much more about motorsports and about WIM Canada as well.” – Charlotte Mulholland

Not only is this the first WIMCanada internship program, it’s also the first ever motorsport-related internship for Humber’s Sport Management students. We are proud to say that the first motorsport intern is female.
